While I haven't seen James in years, I was so thrilled to see this video in the NYT about his collaboration with Coach. What a treat to get a little peek into his world and his inpirations.

If, llike me, the idea of your favorite art ON A HANDBAG is too much to bear, check out the edition collection of canvas bags at Coach. I'd be hard pressed to pick just one! How about you?

In collaboration with MA3 Agency Sebastien was charged with conceptualizing and designing a traveling installation that would showcase the heritage and innovation of the Audemars Pigeut brand. The occasion? The 40th anniversary of the Royal Oak collection - the first luxury sports time piece and industry game changer.

Inspired by the Swiss landscape that surrounds the brand’s headquarters, Sebastien collaborated with fellow artists Quayola and Dan Holdsworth to create and environment that included sound sculptures, photography, film and several ‘fragments’ - structures that housed 100 iconic timepieces, memorabilia and a watchmakers area (with real life Audemars Piguet craftsmen!)

The result is a truly unique, beautiful and inspiring experience - a perfect reflection of the collection and brand. With a few destinations under it’s belt (New York, Milan and Paris) the tour will continue to Beijing, Singapore and Dubai where it will be open to the public for a few days only. Click here for dates and if you find yourself in that neck of the woods (hey, you never know), stop by and check it out.

Leave it to experiential designer and composer Sebastien Leon Agneessens to figure out how to make a residential building come alive with sound.

Three sonic sculptures that were presented at 100% Design in London, offered a lyrical first-look at the much larger architectural artwork that it anticipates with the opening of the NEF 163 residential tower in 2012. The Golden Horns, a title that conflates the musical instrument with Istanbul’s immortal harbor, comprise a series of brass pipes that will transform the building’s infrastructure and weave in and out of its 35 floors, carrying improvised compositions - a mixture of treated live sounds and prerecorded musical samples - from the building’s lobby to the observatory at its crown.

Inspired by the colorful pipes that dressed Renzo Piano’s Paris Pompidou Museum, Sebastien conceived a design that would use the tower’s piping structure as a musical instrument that would continually deliver subtle music and sonic poetry to its residents.

It makes regular apartment buildings feel rather run-of-the-mill doesn’t it?

Let's face it, it used to be about getting as many people to buy your stuff as possible, but more and more it's become about spreading an idea and connecting with people. I don't know about you, but that feels way more exciting a proposition.

Today, TED Curator Chris Anderson announced the second cycle of Ads Worth Spreading at the Interactive Advertising Bureau’s MIXX conference in New York. Check out TED's blog to learn more about this initiative and how you can be a part of it.
